When men don't ask for help or directions--they stay lost.
It's smart to ask for help sometimes. Even world class athletes use coaches to improve their game and skills. Its not a sign of weakness to get help. It is a sign of wisdom and strength.
If your life or marriage has hit the rocks--its time for help.
If you are stuck in anger, regrets, anxiety, depression, or an addiction to anything, its time for you to get help.
As a guy myself and as a men's counselor for twenty years, I know that men don't easily ask for help. I know men who have driven themselves to the hospital after having a heart attack--with their wife in the passenger seat.
Some common men's problems.
Problems with anger and sexuality are common among men. Either or both of these issues can cause serious damage in a man's personal life, relationships and career. Related problems include:
anger at himself
uncontrolled anger at others
feeling like a failure or fraud
feeling down and depressed
being socially uneasy or isolated
hooked on pornography
hooked on prostitutes
hooked on alcohol or drugs
hooked on 80 hour work weeks
If you have any of these problems and also have a wife or girlfriend, your problems are twice as serious. Without help, most of these problems don't just go away. They will usually get worse.
Its time to get free
It's time to get out of whatever prison you're in. Many of the men that I counsel can hardly believe the positive and profound changes that happen to them in therapy. Burdens they have carried for years are released. Past anger, hurts and fears are let go. They become able to love deeper than ever before.
I'd like to help you too.
Give me a call to discuss your needs for help over the phone. And don't worry about therapy being a lifelong commitment. No one is in therapy for a lifetime. My goal is to help you get free to go on with your life with more success than ever.
I look forward to talking with you.
Rick
